“Three warplanes violated our air space”

Kudret Özersay via social media – “Today [yesterday] during the morning hours, three Greek warplanes violated our air space”.

In his statement, Özersay said that they “have taken the necessary initiatives in the face of this provocative act, including protesting”.

The full statement is as follows:

“Today [yesterday] during the morning hours, three Greek warplanes violated our air space.

The said planes took off from Crete and violated our airspace by flying low over the village of Akıncılar (Louroujina). The planes soon returned to the base back at Crete.

We have taken the necessary initiatives in the face of this provocative act, including protesting. These types of approaches endanger the stability at the area, and this must be known and must act responsibly regarding this”.
