The “Association of Public Vehicle Operators”, starting today, will go on a strike from student transport.
The statement from the association read the following:
“Until the Ministry of National Education and Culture does not add the 30% increase in price, given by the government to the sector employees contracts” there will be no student transportation to schools.
After communications with the Ministry of National Education and Culture broke down, starting today, the association has started a strike. They also blamed the ministry for “wasting valuable time by resorting to time extending policies, which has led the transport sector to run out of options”.
