The areas which will experience the lowest heat temperatures today in the north of Cyprus will be Boğaz (Bogazi) and Esentepe (Agios Amvrosios) with 25 degrees. The areas which will experience the highest heat temperatures in the north of Cyprus will be Nicosia, Ercan and Geçitkale (Lefkoniko) with 31 degrees.
According to the Department of Meteorology, our area will be affected with a low-pressure system and a cool and humid air mass in the upper atmosphere.
In light of the latest meteorological assessments, today will be partly cloudy with certain areas seeing heavy rainfall (at times with thunderstorms).
Heat temperatures are expected to range around 1 or 2 degrees above the seasonal normal, with the wind coming from the North and West at moderate strengths.
The highest heat temperatures in the inner areas and beaches will generally range between 25 – 31.

According to the Department’s latest meteorological assessments and analysis, the heavy rainfall will continue to be effective at certain areas, therefore, the department have warned citizens and authorities to take the necessary precautions for possible hail, flooding etc.
– Warning! Forest fires are highly probable!
According to the Department of Meteorology, the possibility of forest fires are high due to possible low moisture levels in flammable objects. Especially thin caliber objects can become extremely flammable due to low moisture levels. Due to high levels of moisture during the evening combating forest fires becomes easier.
- Ultraviolet radiation to come from the North and East at 20 – 28 Km per hour; at moderate strengths.
These values show low risk. People can stay under the sun for 20 minutes without being harmed. However, it is recommended that people wear hats or glasses for extra protection.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the area will be affected by a low-pressure system and a cold air mass in the upcoming week.
With this, the weather will see heavy rain tomorrow (w/ Thunderstorms); Sunday and Monday will be partly cloudy and the other days will be very cloudy.
The highest heat temperatures in the inner areas will range between 31 – 34 degrees and 27 – 30 degrees on the beaches.
The wind will be coming from the North and East at moderate, at times at powerful strengths.
